*********
From an early age, Maggi was
always in the kitchen. Her Easy Bake Oven was her favorite "toy."
Maggi loved making those little cakes for her friends and family. As luck would
have it, Maggi's mother was always willing to let her "help" and soon
Maggi was trying hery hand at cooking the family meals. Her mother was always
very supportive. Even when Maggi's first few culinary "creations"
weren't so appetizing. But Maggi's mom always encouraged her to learn more. And
Maggi learned to love cooking.
While in college, Maggi loved cooking for her other room-mates, and they were
glad to have a delicious alternative to food in the dining hall. It's amazing
what you can learn to cook with a microwave, a sandwich maker and a galley-sized
range/oven!
Maggi finished college, but it felt like she was missing something. Maggi loved
to cook, and she often found herself spending evenings and weekends in the
kitchen. In fact, Maggi love cooking so much she decided that she wanted to
learn more about it. So Maggi enrolled in culinary school at the local college
and took classes to become a better cook. She loved it! And before long, Maggi's
friends and family loved it too. They were smart. It seemed that every time one
of Maggi's friends was throwing a party, she was invited...to help out in the
kitchen! Every time she had friends and family over for dinner, Maggi heard the
same comment: "You should open a restaurant!" They were on to
something...
After researching, Maggi found that the restaurant industry wasn't what she
wanted to work in. One day Maggi found an article about the Personal Chef
industry and she knew she had found what she was looking for. In 2002, The
Kitchen Genie opened for business. Being a personal chef allows Maggi to be
exactly what she wants to be. Maggi cook's great, healthy meals for hungry, busy
folks. The same people that would cook if they had the time or desire.
To this day, Maggi still LOVES what she does! She loves helping people gather
around the dinner table every night. She loves how everyday is never the same.
And best of all, Maggi loves making people happy.
Maggi believes, "After all, if you do what you love, people will love what
you do!"
