*********
Chef Michelle comes from a
family that has always loved cooking and trying out new dishes. She has
been cooking since she was a young girl, at home, in 4-H, and entering
local cooking contests.
As an adult, raising seven children, she’s had plenty of occasions to
indulge in her love of the culinary arts.
Attending many cooking classes offered by her local home extension office,
as well as a few of the Taste of Home Cooking Schools, and as a consultant
for a cookware company, she’s had tons of opportunities to taste and
learn new recipes.
With 25 years working in the restaurant and food industry, she has had a
multitude of experiences, in cooking, serving, catering and marketing, as
well as planning and management. She enjoys helping folks get the most of
their dining experience.
In the fall of 2002, Chef Michelle attended a culinary arts program taught
by Chef Frank Leibold, associate professor at Sinclair College in Dayton.
It was during this time, that she learned about the personal chef industry.
It has always been a dream to own her own business, and with Chef
Michelle’s attention to detail and her desire to offer creative,
comforting food to others, becoming a personal chef, just seemed like a
perfect fit.
In her extensive research, she found The Personal Chef’s Network, where
she joined and became an active member.
Through this national network, Chef Michelle has instant access to
thousands of recipes, and daily contact with other working personal chefs
all over the United States & Canada. She attended the 3rd Annual PCN
Convention held in Boston in 2003.
In addition to keeping busy as a personal chef, Chef Michelle enjoys
cooking for special events, and teaching cooking classes in clients’
homes and for Ford Motor Company. She is on the Board of Directors for her
community Kiwanis Club, and a member of the Lima/Allen Chamber of Commerce.
In her spare time she enjoys her time with her granddaughter, herb
gardening, antiques, hiking, traveling, reading and continuing her
education.
